Wedding Wednesday :: Billy Balls

While Well Registered focuses on wedding registries, each week we feature some of our favorite wedding day inspirations and tutorials from around the internet.  Typically we prefer ideas and projects that are versatile - such as decor using paper, yarn, streamers, and balloons.  But lately we've been obsessing over Billy Balls (also called Billy Buttons or Craspedia).  Billy Balls make unique, simple, and gorgeous wedding decor.

Billy Balls, as seen on the left in the photo above, can make a simple flower arrangement for your reception tables, favor tables, or ceremony decor.

Here's another example of how you can use Billy Balls in your table centerpieces.  This board from Project Wedding has a lot of photo inspiration for a Billy Ball wedding.

You can use Billy Balls in many different aspects of your wedding day.  Check out Elizabeth Anne Designs for a tutorial for these DIY escort cards featuring Billy Balls.

Look how gorgeous Billy Balls can be in bouquets.  We especially love them paired with peonies as seen in this photo from WeddingChicks.com

This wedding stationary line from Wedding Paper Divas would be perfect for a wedding using Billy Balls.  They also have color options of gray and turquoise.

Design Sponge has a great tutorial for making faux Billy Balls using felt roving.  If you've got time on your hands, you could make your own flowers to use in your wedding decor.  DIY could be a great option if you want to use different colors for your Billy Balls.  You can purchase felt roving at craft stores or online stores such as Amazon or Etsy.

If you don't want to make your own, you can purchase Billy Balls (craspedia) from your local florist or online at stores like FiftyFlowers.com.

How would you use Billy Balls in your wedding decor?
